House of Shima, LLC offers a full range of residential and commercial design services which create highly personalized and beautifully designed interiors for our clients. We are based in Bethesda, MD and serve clients in Montgomery County, MD. We are happy to travel for a great project!

New Construction & Remodeling

We are available to partner for new construction and remodeling projects. Shima can provide guidance for your appliance, cabinetry, flooring & tile, plumbing, countertop, lighting, and other selections, as well as create custom designed areas (e.g. feature walls, niche) with realistic 3D images (example shown below) to serve your needs.

Consultation

Our consultation services include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

  • Interior Selections (appliance, cabinetry, flooring & tile, plumbing, countertop, paint, lighting)

  • Exterior Selections (e.g. brick, stucco, siding, roofing, stone, wood accents)

  • Furniture plans, layouts and room planning

  • Wallpaper

  • Custom upholstery and window treatments

  • Artwork

  • Establishing lighting solutions

  • Room styling

E-Design Services

If you are outside of Montgomery County, MD and/or if you would like a more affordable option than in-person, full-service design services, we provide E-Design services. With this option, all communication is done via email and/or phone. You provide pictures and measurements of the room and Shima designs the room based on a questionnaire you complete. The questionnaire will ask you about your design goals, likes and dislikes, how the room will be used, etc. Once we establish the budget and scope of work, we create a thorough design plan. E-Design services include a mood board, 2D furniture layout plan, 3D color rendering (example shown below), and complete product resource list. Total cost varies by chosen area and number of rooms, and includes time for planning, researching, creating and finalizing design plans.
